He and his wife still live in Nashville and have five children all named after Beatles songs.- Francis J. McDonald - not a name to bring ready recognition-but a look at the face reminds one of many old movie roles indeed. His career as an actor literally spanned from early silent films and the great silver screen era of sound film to follow on through the golden age of television. His screen credits, noticeable and small, amount to an amazing nearly 350 roles. Starting on stage, he was a slight but handsome leading man who entered films in 1913 and continued lead and featured romantic roles from contemporary to costume adventure into the 1920s. It was during this period that he married - and divorced - actress Mae Busch, most familiar for the many Laurel and Hardy comedies she did. MacDonald worked on Broadway briefly in only two plays (mid-1918). By the time he did his first totally sound film (late silent movies had intervals of background or short dialog sound), Burning Up (1930), MacDonald had 83 films under his belt. But into the 1930s, being older, his roles were turning toward shady characters of second order - and increasingly uncredited. With dark hair and mustache and beady eyes with a prominent nose, MacDonald fit well into many an ethnic or sneaky villain role and continued in demand. He got to know Cecil B. DeMille and had a regular featured character role in his long history of films beginning with The Plainsman (1936).
Still through the 1930s and 40s MacDonald averaged a steady five to ten films a year-dipping somewhat in the World War II years. Into the 1950s he was increasingly cast in one of his perennial staples, westerns, with roles already familiar to him: weaselly, tin horn gamblers, henchmen, but also dignified Indian chiefs. He was a natural to move into the incredibly popular western phenomenon that burst over the new medium of TV. He showed up in the spectrum of episodic oaters: from early Range Rider, Kit Carson, Wild Bill Hickok, and The Lone Ranger to later fare, such as, Have Gun-Will Travel, Wanted Dead or Alive, Wagon Train, the whole stable of Warner Bros. westerns at the end of the decade (Maverick, etc.), and The Virginian in the next. In the meanwhile there were some good character pieces in movies. Perhaps the most poignant being his last for DeMille's, The Ten Commandments (1956), where he had the small but showcase role as Simon, the old Jewish slave. Bedraggled and working in the clay pit - with Charlton Heston - he pleads for freedom for the Israelites - and gets a a trowel in the gut from a Egyptian guard for his trouble - dying heroically in Heston's arms - it is classic DeMille. And it was classic MacDonald - always ready to give a skillful and memorable performance. - Producer

James Magnum Cook was born June 14, 1968 in Bowling Green, Kentucky where he spent most of his life except for 8 years living in Georgia. In 1986 he became an Eagle Scout with Troop 202 of the First Christian Church in Bowling Green and has often mentioned that his former Scoutmaster "Doc Evans" influenced him in many of his decisions still to this day. In 1986 while still in high school he also became a trained and licensed Private Investigator as America's youngest at the time. Later he was featured in a school paper article about becoming a Private Investigator at such a young age and before even completing High School. Magnum also served in the U.S. Army Reserve Entry Program his last two years of High School and entered active duty on 8 June 1987 only to be discharged later for stress induced asthma which he never believed should have been the case and continued to be supportive even after leaving the service under these circumstances. Later he returned home for a brief stay only to finally leave for the small town of Toccoa, Georgia where he lived for most of the 8 years he stayed in Georgia, but also had brief stays in both Gainesville and Athens during this time period.
He became the youngest person ever to run for City Commissioner of Toccoa, Georgia at the age of 23 in 1991 and automatically found quick local fame in the small town of 10,000 people. He ran his own business from 1990-1995 in Toccoa which was Cook's Security Consultant Agency and also had a brief partnership in a Comic Book store in the town as well. Before leaving Toccoa he married and divorced Holly Gayle Smith. Upon returning to Bowling Green he was working for Applebees as a Line Cook and felt he was out of place for his element, but decided to play the hand that was dealt him.
In 1996 together with his father, he returned to the world of business owning J&F Bait and Tackle for a period of almost 10 years when he closed it in 2005. It was in April of 2004 that he began to do something he came to love and that was being a Photographer and Model Manager for the company once parented by J&F Bait and Tackle known as Magnum's Models using his nickname and placing into his name. In 2002 he had been on the Warren County, Kentucky ballot running for Constable and restablished his name as Magnum. Magnum's Models was formed by himself under the direction of his best friend Adam Campbell who originally wanted to have a Bobber Girl program of girls washing cars, trucks and boats outside the bait shop which never came to past. Once the Magnum's Models website was established, the rest was history with Adam Campbell later becoming a partner in the company and Vice President. They also established Magnum Caliber Films in 2005 and began working on Batman A Date With Destiny fan film which is still being produced. Magnum also began to work with other talent agents including Ken Shelton who owned Hot Stuff Magazine and photographers like Charlie Gillespie who had shot models for Playboy. Johnson, Epson Computers, C&H Sugar, Colony Wines and many more. For the last 13 years Scott has been a multi-award-winning Writer/Director/Cameraman in San Francisco. His list of clients includes: Adobe Systems, Advanced Micro Devices, Apple Computers, Barnes-Hind, Charles Schwab & Co., The Clorox Company, General Electric, General Mills, Hasbro Toys, Intel, Kraft Inc., Lanier Products, Levi Strauss, McDonalds, Microsoft Corp., Silicon Graphics, Sun Microsystems, Syntex Corp. and many more. He has also directed and photographed two CD-ROM games: "The Daedaleus Encounter" for Mechadeus, a pioneering effort at an "Interactive Movie" and "Star Wars - Jedi Knight" for LucasArts. He is still the only outside Director to ever helm a project for LucasArts. Scott's background in film and theater allows him to handle both sides of the Director/Cameraman responsibility with equal aplomb. He is excellent with actors, both professional and non-professional. He believes firmly in the collaborative nature of the film business and his shoots are notoriously pleasant and stimulating for that very reason. He gets the most out of his cast, crew and clients because he wants everyone to make their contributions to the final product. We believe it shows on his reel. Also, because most of the audience for Scott's films are the men and women of Silicon Valley, the dreamers and builders of the new age, he brings a sense of responsibility to his work. Many of his films are clarion calls to these people to understand the enormity of their impact on the world and to "do the right thing." In 1998, Scott took his knowledge and expertise into the realm of streaming media where he helped found the Internet start-up, ON24 as the Vice President of Production. On24 is one of the original handful of companies that pioneered streaming media and new forms of multimedia communication on the web. With the help of many creative people the department grew from 2 to over 35 people by the end of his tenure. ON24 was recently named one of the "Top 100 Private Companies in America" by Upside Magazine. In 1999, Scott was honored with his selection as one of the Cameramen for an extraordinary documentary about the Synthesis Dialogues Conference in Dharmasala, India. In September of that year, His Holiness, the Dalai Lama convened a conference of 41 high-level Western minds at his residence to discuss the synthesis of Eastern and Western thought. Scott served as Cameraman, Steadi-Cam Operator and Lighting Director for the project.
